Agriculture Literacy Day

Agriculture Literacy Day brings agriculture to life in Florida classrooms.

Through a featured book and volunteer readers from across the industry, students gain a deeper appreciation for the role agriculture plays in their daily lives. And while it’s called “Ag Literacy Day,” there’s no single date. Every day is a great day to share the story of agriculture.

Cotton and its Boll Versus the Peanut and its Hull

Florida Agriculture in the Classroom is proud to present this year’s Agriculture Literacy Day book: Cotton and its Boll versus the Peanut and its Hull. We’re excited to spotlight Florida’s vibrant cotton and peanut industries through this engaging story.

Volunteer Readers Welcome! We invite representatives from the agriculture industry to participate as classroom readers. Volunteers are asked to coordinate directly with schools and schedule their visits at least two weeks in advance.

Flexible Scheduling! There is no designated date for this year’s program—simply choose a time that works best for both the volunteer and the school. After all, we believe every day is Agriculture Literacy Day!

There is no set date for this program, please find a date that works best for the volunteer reader and the school. We believe that Every day is Ag Literacy Day!
