The second grade Elementary Agricultural Education Standards introduce students to the many ways agriculture influences their daily lives. Students investigate food production, plant and animal life cycles, weather, energy, natural resources, and Florida agriculture while developing an understanding of consumers, producers, and agricultural careers. Through lessons focused on leadership, citizenship, and personal responsibility, students build foundational skills that help them connect agriculture to their communities and the world around them.
