The third grade Elementary Agricultural Education Standards help students explore the connections between agriculture, geography, science, and daily life. Students investigate Florida's agricultural regions and commodities, learn about plant and animal systems, examine food production and safety, and develop an understanding of natural resources and environmental stewardship. Through leadership, citizenship, and career exploration activities, students also build important communication, teamwork, and personal development skills while discovering the many ways agriculture impacts their communities and the world.
